Olympia School District Technology Forums

In 2010 citizens in the Olympia School District passed a capital levy to support technology and facility enhancements for OSD students and staff. Over the past few years technology levy funds have supported many strategic projects and items, including instructional and operational technologies in classrooms, mobile computing devices, upgraded computer labs, adaptive/assistive technologies for special-needs students and online learning resources for struggling learners. The Olympia School District’s 2010 technology levy that supports these and other programs will expire at the end of 2014. The District is considering whether to place a renewal of that levy on the ballot in February 2014.

The school district is holding two public forums to gather input about items that might be included in a renewal of the district’s technology levy, should the school board choose to place the measure before voters.
