It’s time for the 8th annual Olympia Old Time Festival! This year’s music, dance, and crafts festival – the 8th annual – will be bigger and better than ever; it comes to several locations in downtown Olympia, Thursday through Sunday, February 11 – 14.
The Oly Old Time Festival is rooted in traditional Appalachian fiddle music, and is now expanding its offerings to include Cajun and honky-tonk styles of American music. The weekend culminates with an open-mike-style cabaret on Sunday afternoon. This family-friendly event is an annual tradition is downtown Olympia, and is known for its affordability and emphasis on activities for all ages.
A full weekend pass costs $35; or attend single evening events for $5 (Thursday honky-tonk dance) or $15 (Friday big concert or Saturday dances). All tickets are available at olyoldtime.org. The main evening events will be held at the Olympia Ballroom, 116 Legion Way SE. Workshops take place at the First Christian Church, 701 Franklin St. SE; and at the Arbutus Folk School, 610 4th Ave. E. All locations are in downtown Olympia.
