The Downtown Y needs your help on Saturday, August 22 to help paint our building. Using volunteer labor and recycled paint, the Downtown Y is partnering with the City of Olympia and Thurston First Bank to beautify the Y with the help of volunteers like you! This is a great opportunity to get your hands dirty and to join with friends to serve your community.
“We are really excited to partner with the City and Thurston First Bank on a project that will enhance our downtown and the YMCA as well,” said the Downtown Y’s Executive Director Jake Grater.
Information for volunteers
- The project will run from 6:00am to 6:00pm.
- Desired shifts are 4 hours – we can accommodate shorter or longer shifts.
- The project has professional oversight.
- No previous painting experience is necessary – All equipment will be provided.
