FREE WA State Sponsored 1st Time Home Buyers Class

As Washington State sponsored instructors, Realtors at Link Real Estate Group teach a FREE first time home buyer class, once per month for the Washington State Housing Finance Commission (WSHFC). The class is taught in Lacey, yet the certificate is good for a home purchas…e anywhere in WA State, and helps new buyers to satisfy state requirements to qualify for first time buyer loan programs. The class is designed to help first time home buyers (or those who have not owned a home in the last 3 years) become educated with the process of buying a home. The Washington State Housing Finance Commission helps new home buyers learn how to purchase and maintain a home. Home ownership programs help new home buyers purchase a home. Commission-sponsored home buyer education classes are meant to be the first step in purchasing a home.

Commission-sponsored classes:

-Are free and open to the public, include information about the Commission’s low-interest rate House Key State Bond first mortgage program, down payment assistance, and other loan programs.

-Are accepted by all affordable housing loan programs as meeting or exceeding educational requirements.

As Washington State instructors, Realtors at Link Real Estate Group have gone through strict training and have agreed to standards which assure you that all classes:

-Are at least five hours in length, covering all major aspects of the home buying process; presented in an open, unbiased format.

-Use approved training materials and handouts.

-Have no direct marketing or sales presentations given by any of the guest speakers. This class is to help educate the public only.

If you will be using the low-interest rate State Bond House Key program to purchase your home, you must complete a Commission-sponsored class before your loan officer can lock in your interest rate. Upon completion of the class you will receive your Washington State certificate.
