Sea Life will be presented by naturalist Alan Rammer on Sunday, January 25, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. This class is open to all ages and is free to attend. “Students” are encouraged to bring their best beach finds for analysis and conversation with Rammer and the rest of the attendees.
Rammer is co-author of the book Glass Fishing Floats of the World. He is retired from the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife and is a graduate from the University of Washington with a degree in Shellfish Biology and Invertebrate Zoology. Alan’s enthusiasm for the beach is only eclipsed by his gift as an educator. Rammer was the recipient of the 2012 National Marine Educator of the Year award.
