Ring in Chinese New Year 2015 at the Olympia, Lacey and Tumwater Timberland Libraries with a program for all ages. The Olympia Tai-Chi & Kung-Fu Club will perform the traditional Lion Dance and demonstrate the martial art of Kung-Fu.

- At the Tumwater Timberland Library – Tuesday, March 3, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
- At the Lacey Timberland Library – Saturday, March 7, noon to 1 p.m.
The Kung-Fu demonstration, performed in the Hung-Gar Southern Style, will include hand forms and weapons. The Lion Dance, because of the weight and length of the costume, requires physical strength as well as artistry in movement. The dancers strive to evoke the lion through expression, actions and form.
