Adult Swim: Science of Eats

Hands On Children’s Museum is once again offering playtime for adults at the museum with Adult Swim: Science of Eats September 30 from 7-10 p.m. The late night event for adults 21+ is a chance to sample local bites and booze and learn about the science behind the foods we eat.

Taste, smell and explore local eats like honey from Olympia Beekeepers Association, olive oil from Olympia Olive Oil, smoked oysters from Pacific Shellfish Growers, cheeses from The Mouse Trap and saufooderkraut from Olykraut. Cascadia Homebrew and Sandstone Distillery will be there, as will DJ Wildman James, Olympia Farmer’s Market, Helsing Junction Farm, Batdorf and Bronson Coffee Roasters, Abby’s Cupcakes and the Timberland Regional Library.

The event also provides an opportunity to explore the museum’s new traveling China exhibit. In addition to the scientific nibbles and sips, dinner is available for purchase and two bars will be serving beer, wine and a signature cocktail. One free drink is included in ticket price.
