David White-Proprietor of Whitewood Cider Co., Olympia, with Chef Lela Cross, Dillanger’s
Whitewood Cider Co. is South Puget Sound’s first craft cidery! What better way to celebrate the Autumnal Equinox than to taste their seasonally made hard ciders with expertly paired dishes created by Chef Lela. To start, her Whitewood’s “Granvenstein” Cider Vinaigrette dresses Grapes with Blue Cheese. Sauteed Chicken Andouille Sausage is drizzled with a Whitewood’s “Northland” Cider Reduction and Blackened Pork is served with an Asian-Influenced Barbeque Sauce using Whitewood’s “Old Fangled” cider. To conclude the tasting, Chef Lela makes her Whitewood’s “Southsounder” Cider Caramel Apple Ice Cream. While you taste, David will tell you all about his new cidery! $55
