Olympia author Heather Lockman will read from and discuss her new novel, “The Indian Shirt Story”, an Orca Books bestseller. About the book: Bess Reynolds runs the Starkett House Museum, a pioneer-era landmark in free-thinking, left-leaning Port Heron (a town not unlike Olympia). When country music star and avid angler Duane Hasker rents the museum for a video shoot, chaos ensues as diehard fans squabble with protesters fired up over Duane’s “cruelty to fish.” Neither Bess nor Port Heron will ever be the same.
