Yelm Shuts Out North Thurston 48-0 in High School Football

Yelm (4-2, 3-1) dominated North Thurston (2-4, 0-4) in SSC 3A South Sound football October 5 in Lacey with a 48-0 win. Yelm rushed for 220 yards and had 190 passing yards led by senior quarterback Kyle Robinson. Kodee Gifford had six receptions for 134 yards. Senior linebacker Derrick Platt, led the Tornadoes defense with eight tackles.

With the win, the Tornadoes continue to share second place in the South Sound Conference with a three way tie with Timberline (4-2, 3-1) and Capital (5-1, 3-1) who both won Friday night also. Yelm hosts first place Peninsula (5-1, 4-0) next week at 7pm. Capital travels to Timberline.
