Olympia Mayor Cheryl Selby to attend NOVA Middle School

On October 15, NOVA Middle School will host a panel discussion for its students. Attendees will include five current and former elected officials. The event will be a chance for NOVA students to learn what it means to serve in public office.

The panel will consist of Olympia Mayor Cheryl Selby; former city council member (and current NOVA employee) Julie Hankins; 22nd Legislative District State Representatives Laurie Dolan and Beth Doglio; and State Superintendent of Public Instruction Chris Reykdal.

The panel will take place at 8:00 a.m. during NOVA’s regular Monday morning assembly and will last for approximately 45 minutes.

NOVA Middle School is an independent school located in Olympia, Wa. Established in 1992, NOVA is the only middle school in the South Puget Sound that provides a full-time program for highly capable students.
