There was more than just basketball to enjoy at the first annual Capital City 3 on 3 event this weekend above the Olympia Lakefair.
It was a unique site for the sporting event with the Capitol Building providing the backdrop. Juxtaposing the hustle and bustle of the tournament against the classic architecture of the Capitol Campus alone was worth coming out to witness.
Teams were split into different divisions to allow everyone to join in on the fun, so people from every age and skill level showed up to compete in this weekend’s competitions.
You didn’t have to participate to have a good time. There were vendors selling espresso, headbands and food concessions. Local businesses hosted games and massage therapists were on site to soothe aching muscles.
