Alderbrook Golf & Yacht Club in Union knows young golfers are the future of the game. To get youngsters into the swing of things, Alderbrook organized its first Family Golf Day which took place on April 22. The club’s head golf professional, Sam Smith PGA, reports that with perfect weather encouraging participation, about 30 junior golfers and their family members spent the afternoon having fun at putting and swing clinics. Family Golf Day promotes the course’s two junior golf camps this summer. By expanding offerings for the next generation, the Alderbrook Golf Course hopes to grow its junior participation and join the PGA Junior League in 2019.
