If you are looking to warm up after spending time near the Port of Olympia, stop by The Sidewalk Cafe for some delicious soup, salad, and sandwiches. The local cafe offers a unique blend of made-from-scratch French cuisine with classic American and Jewish twists, including gluten-free quiche, matzo ball soup, and year-round Olympic Mountain Ice Cream. They specialize in lunch, market breakfast on the weekends, and fresh grab-and-go items (be sure to check their Facebook page for daily specials and soups).

2018 also brings exciting changes for The Sidewalk Cafe as owner Seth Hutt is preparing for a renovation that will bring a new menu, new website, and upgraded interior to complete his vision of a unique modern Olympia cafe. The Sidewalk Cafe will be closed for renovation beginning January 6 with hopes to reopen within one to two weeks. ThurstonTalk will share updated renovation photos and more on the restaurant’s new offerings upon reopening.
