The Thurston County Board of Commissioners is pleased to announce that beginning today, Tuesday, September 19, viewers will be able to watch a live-streaming of the Board of County Commissioners meetings, Board of Health meetings, and public hearings on the Thurston County YouTube channel.
“We heard from residents that it can be a hardship for them to make it to the courthouse to attend the board meetings and public hearings,” said Commission Chair Bud Blake. “We worked with Thurston Community Media to link from the recording system in our board room to YouTube so we can live stream our meetings and hopefully ease some of the burden of our residents.”
YouTube also records the live stream so viewers can visit the Thurston County YouTube channel at their convenience to view the day’s meetings or public hearings.
