Start your weekend early for an experiential journey on the Eastern Tacoma Railway of the Milwaukee Road as we enjoy beer, rails, and the forests and foothills of Mt. Rainier all in one long summer evening!

Board your coach from the platform at the historic Elbe Depot, and as you enjoy the ride through the Nisqually Valley and cross rivers and streams in the foothills of Mt. Rainier, attendants will share stories of the Pacific Northwest’s pioneer settlement and growth. Travel through the logging heartland of Cascadia pulled vintage locomotives that have transported people and goods through these mountains for a century. First Class passengers will enjoy a light sampling of Pacific Northwest craft beers in commemorative souvenir glasses. Once at the Railroad and Logging Museum, enjoy a BBQ dinner, guided museum tours, and live entertainment.

Your fare includes steam train ride, museum admission,  a scrumptious meal at the museum and dessert served during the train ride home. Standard Class is an all-ages family-friendly ride, while First Class passengers enjoy 5 beer tastings while en route to the museum and receive a souvenir Mt. Rainier Railroad glass. Passengers must show valid ID before boarding First Class cars.

#2 – Hard Cider Steam Train & Oktoberfest Express

We will feature various cideries using Pacific Northwest apples across Washington state. Join us for an experiential journey on the Old Milwaukee Road as we enjoy cider, rails, and the forests and foothills of Mt. Rainier all in one afternoon!

Sample various Washington cideries and converse with cidermakers on board and at a our historic logging camp destination!

#3 – PEANUTS The Great Pumpkin Patch Express

The fall is fantastic time to ride the train. Join Snoopy, and Charlie Brown aboard The Great Pumpkin Patch Express. Passengers will ride the train and read the book ‘It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown’ on their journey to the Pumpkin Patch. Every child gets to choose their very own pumpkin to take home, play PEANUTS™ themed games and activities, and meet Charlie Brown and Snoopy.

#4 – THE POLAR EXPRESS Train Ride 

The magic of THE POLAR EXPRESS™ comes to life in Elbe, Washington. This story of a child’s Christmas Eve journey comes alive on-board THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride.  All ages can enjoy the warmth and fun of the Christmas season as you depart for a trip to the North Pole.

Passengers will be entertained by Chefs, enjoy Hot Chocolate and Cookies, and listen to a reading of THE POLAR EXPRESS™Upon arrival at the North Pole, Santa will board the train and give each child the first gift of Christmas (a silver bell).
