The 60th annual Capital Lakefair summer festival will be held from Wednesday, July 12 through Sunday, July 16 in Heritage Park on the shores of Capitol Lake at 5th Avenue and Water Street in downtown Olympia, according to 2017 Lakefair President Karen Griggs.

Highlights of the 2017 Capital Lakefair schedule include:

Wednesday, July 12

12:00 p.m. – Lakefair Begins. Carnival, Midway and Food Booths Open. Activities throughout the day, afternoon and evening on the Lakefair Main Stage. U.S. Navy Region Northwest Command Cutter “OLD MAN IV” arrives Percival.

Note: The Mid-day opening of the Carnival, Midway, Craft and Food Booths continues daily.

Thursday, July 13

7:00 p.m. – Lakefair Queen, Princesses “Royalty Presentation” on Main Stage. The U.S. Navy Region Northwest Command Cutter “OLD MAN IV” will be at Percival Landing and available for public visiting during Lakefair week.

Friday, July 14

9:00 a.m. – 50+ (Senior Day) Activities, Heritage Park Main Stage area.

5:00 p.m. – Lakefair Classic Car Show, Marathon Park on Deschutes Parkway.

Saturday, July 15

7:00 a.m. – Lakefair 10K, 5K Fun Run & Walk. Pre-register at the Capital Lakefair website.

12:00 p.m. – Kids’ Day Activities at Sylvester Park, Capitol Way & Legion Way.

5:00 p.m. – Capital Lakefair Grand Parade on Capitol Way and 5th Avenue.

Sunday, July 16

10:00 p.m. -Grand Finale Fireworks, Capitol Lake, 5th & Water.

Capital Lakefair is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501c3 community festival organization for the greater Capital City, Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater, Thurston County area whose members include business men and women, teachers, state and local government employees and retirees from all walks of life.

Lakefair welcomes new members and if you are interested, please contact our office or ask any Capitalarian. Our monthly meetings are the first Thursday of the month at the Hotel RL, formerly the Red Lion, in West Olympia.
