Tour goers will recognize Simon Kogan’s studies for larger scale sculpture at Percival Landing, St. Martin’s University and the World War II Memorial on the Capitol Campus.  Tom Anderson’s works in glass and mixed media are found in many local public spaces and private collections.  Moore, a longtime affiliate of the Pilchuck Glass School, is seen internationally in museums and collections and he has a piece on permanent display at the Smithsonian.  Van Tuinen’s art is exhibited in galleries and collections worldwide.

Set against the backdrop of the historic 1909 Mansion, the exhibit art complements GMF’s permanent collection of notable art including works by Mark Tobey, Edmund Fitzgerald, Myra Wiggins and a George Washington portrait by Rembrandt Peale. For more information visit  Governor’s Mansion Foundation website.

The public is invited to view the art on Wednesdays in July, September and October as part of the regular free tours of the Mansion presented by GMF docents.  To join a tour, contact the Washington State Tour Office at 360-902-8880 or tours@des.wa.gov.
