Congratulations are in order for Olympia High School senior Henry Nordhorn, recipient of the 2017 Anacker Scholarship for the Arts awarded by the Washington Center for the Performing Arts. Playing both the horn and saxophone, Henry’s dream is to be a professional musician and perform with a world class orchestra like the L.A. Philharmonic, the Chicago Symphony, or the London Symphony. He plans to pursue music education this fall at Central Washington University and we wish him all the best!

Henry Nordhorn says: “One of my favorite things to do is listen to as much music as I can; sometimes I even seem to be surrounded by my own personal soundtrack. I always appreciate how much the art can impact my mood, emotions” and thoughts.”

If you want to wish Henry well on his next adventure, join us on Tuesday, May 23 for Wonderful Wurlitzer. At this free community sing-a-long, we will recognize Henry, as well as enjoy a night of pop tunes, classics, and many standards played on our Mighty Andy Crow Wurlitzer Organ performed by Pacific Northwest favorite Sharon Stearnes.
