From 12:00 – 4:00 p.m., discover ways to get involved in your community at the Environmental Education Resource Fair. This event, hosted by Thurston ECO Network, provides opportunities for individuals, families, and teachers to learn, volunteer, and network with local organizations. Participating organizations include Thurston County Solid Waste, Intercity Transit, Thurston County Public Health, Thurston Conservation District, Puget Sound Estuarium, Stream Team, and Pacific Shellfish Institute.

From 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., come watch the first annual Environmental Issues Slam, featuring a series of 5-minute timed presentations from middle and high school students on an environmental issue of their choice. The Slam is moderated by Olympia City Council member Clark Gilman. Participant prizes include cash, sailing lessons, bikes, and more! Interested students can still register for the Slam, but space is limited.
