Allied Arts Foundation is currently accepting applications for our 2017 Emerging Artist Grant Awards. We will award eight grants to emerging artists residing in Western Washington: One $5,000 award, two $2,500 awards, and five $1,000 awards. The 2017 awards will focus on 2D Visual Arts only. Students are ineligible. To apply, access the online application here: http://bit.ly/AAF2017Grants. Applications are due on May 8, 2017 by 8:00 p.m.
To keep the application as simple as possible, we only request an informal artist statement (500 words max), artist resume, 10 digital images with image descriptions, and a $10 entry fee.
The awards are merit-based. No project description, budget, or needs statement is required. These awards will be judged and scored by a panel of art professionals whose decisions will be based on artist application answers, resumes, and images of past or current work.
Awarded funds are unrestricted and may be used at the artist’s discretion. All decisions by the committee are final.
