The Soroptimist International of Olympia bring you the South Sound Exceptional Woman awards banquet. This banquet’s purpose is to honor women, the unsung heroes, who help their organizations – internally or externally – and make our community a better place. This noncompetitive award allows organizations across the South Sound to celebrate these outstanding women.
This awards banquet will be Friday, May 5, 2017 at Indian Summer Golf and Country Club. Doors open at 6:00 pm, with awards banquet starting at 7:00 pm. We are thrilled to announce that Kelsey Hulse has generously donated her time to be the banquet’s emcee. Tickets ($70 per person) can be purchased online.
The South Sound Exceptional Woman committee will award exceptional women nominees from many organizations and businesses in the South Sound, including women from: Law Enforcement, Armed Forces, City and State Governments, Non-Profits, and Service Organizations. Soroptimist International of Olympia – is an international volunteer nonprofit organization of service and community minded women whose purpose is to improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment. Olympia Soroptimists have many programs to assist this effort locally including the funding of educational awards and scholarships for women, sponsoring girls to attend S.T.E.M. events, supporting programs for children in foster care, assisting in anti-human trafficking efforts, assisting women in economic crisis in form of retraining and certification in QuickBooks or Microsoft Office products.
