Meet Curtis. He came to us as a stray from the Lake Cushman area, and is approximately 1-2 years old. Curtis is easy going, and very gentle. He will absolutely require a large fenced area in which to roam and romp, as his nose can take him on a lot of adventures if not contained. Curtis will also need a good, sturdy leash for his walks, and he has been working on his leash manners daily!

The Coon Hound breed is slow to mature and so loving, but consistent and patient training will be needed so Curtis can be a valued member of the family. He would enjoy vigorous activities to keep him physically and mentally healthy. He would prefer not to live with small children because of his size. Curtis demonstrates the typical Hound baying sound, which you would need to be prepared for. He would absolutely be in his element to go hunting or anything you enjoy outdoors. Curtis could easily be a good fit for Search and Rescue.  He has such a gentle loving face, to match his demeanor. If you feel Curtis would fit into your lifestyle and home, please schedule an appointment to come and visit him.
