Christmas Tree Permits Available from Olympic National Forest Beginning November 7

The Olympic National Forest is pleased to announce that permits for Holiday Trees will be available for purchase starting Monday, November 7.

Once you get your permit and map, you may cut your very own Holiday tree from designated areas in the Olympic National Forest.

Permits are available during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. – with special weekend hours at different locations, excluding Thanksgiving Day.

  • Olympia – Olympic National Forest Headquarters – 360-956-2402

o   Special Weekend Hours:  Saturday, December 10 and 17, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

  • Quilcene – Hood Canal Ranger District – 360-765-2200

o   Weekend Hours:  Saturdays and Sundays 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

  • Hoodsport – Visitor Information Center – 360-877-2021

o   Weekend Hours:  Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Sundays noon to 3:00 p.m.

  • Forks – Pacific Ranger District – 360-374-6522
  • Quinault – Pacific Ranger District – 360-288-2525

Permits will be available through Friday, December 23, 2016
