From July 12 to 14, for 65 hours, our community came together in support of seniors. With your generosity and dedication, Senior Services for South Sound raised over $5,000 to help seniors, their families and the people who care for them right here in Thurston County.

By participating in the GIVE65 Event and using the GIVE65 online platform, Home Instead Senior Care Foundation® matched every dollar raised over $5,000. Donations received during the GIVE65 Event will help Senior Services for South Sound with their mission: improving the quality of life of people as they age.

By participating in the GIVE65 Event, Senior Services for South Sound won an additional $5,000 financial reward.

“Because of your support, seniors in our community will benefit from continued progressive and comprehensive services including adult daycare, case management, nutrition, transportation, and respite care, along with socialization, health, and independent living programs,” said Eileen McKenzie Sullivan, Executive Director of Senior Services for South Sound.

“We were very excited to support Senior Services and we know they sincerely appreciate the generous support of our amazing community to help our organization achieve success with the first-ever GIVE65 Event. When we work together, we can make a greater difference in the lives of seniors in our community,” Said Kelly Cavenah, Co-owner of Home Instead Senior Care, serving the greater South Sound.

Nationally, 62 nonprofits in 30 different states participated in the GIVE65 Event. Collectively, 1,135 donations were received and more than $270,000 was awarded to nonprofits throughout the United States. The 2017 GIVE65 Event is scheduled for July 11 – 13. Senior Services for South Sound is planning to participate and hopes you’ll continue to support our organization, our mission and the seniors we serve.
