Smiles Dental announced today they are partnering in a fundraising effort to benefit Thurston County Food Bank, a 501-C3 non-profit organization that aims to end hunger in Thurston County. Smiles will donate $10 to the food bank for every patient referred to the Smiles Dental office in Tumwater.
“Smiles Dental is committed to our patients and the communities where they reside. By offering this referral incentive, we hope that our small Tumwater team can have a big impact in its local community,” explains Lauren Seeger, Director of Marketing. “And we think it’s a great way for Dr. Melody Pongmaopap to see first-hand what a fantastic and generous community she became part of when she joined the Tumwater office in August.”
The $10 donation is given on behalf of the referring individual when a newly referred patient completes a qualifying appointment. Seeger recommends mentioning the fundraising effort, and the individual who recommended Smiles Dental, when calling for an appointment.

The Thurston County Food Bank distributes food at its downtown office and at several satellite sites throughout Thurston County. Additionally, its mobile food banks deliver food to seniors living in low- income housing who cannot access food bank services.
