In the current issue of Sunset Magazine, the Hands On Children’s Museum was ranked as the #3 best children’s museum in the West.  Only two major institutions beat out our local children’s museum for this recognition – the Exploratorium in San Francisco and the Children’s Museum of Denver.

“This is a fantastic honor for the museum and a testament to our staff, who make learning fun every day,” said Jocelyn McCabe, president of the museum’s Board of Directors. “It also says a lot about our supporters, who are committed to providing engaging experiences and safe play places for children and families.”

Open seven days a week in downtown Olympia, the Hands On Children’s Museum provides hands-on fun and learning for children and their parents and teachers.  The Museum serves over 25,000 visitors annually through their Free and Reduced Admissions programs.

“We’re proud to be included on this list and hope it encourages more people to come visit Olympia and see what all the fun is about,” summarized McCabe.
