Does football capture your attention? I will admit that instead of writing this weekend event calendar, I watched the UW Huskies defeat the USC Trojans. The highlight reel is beautiful, if you are a Huskies fan or just a believer in “anything can happen in college football.” Locally, you can watch awesome student athletes on the gridiron and then read about their accomplishments off the field on ThurstonTalk. Take Chris Penner for example. He’s a star for Capital High School and an advocate for Tourette’s Syndrome when he’s not suited up. This is just one of the outstanding kids that we choose to highlight. Read more in our Sports section.
