The Washington Center for the Performing Arts has cancelled “Patti LuPone: Coulda, Shoulda, Woulda” on Sunday, September 27, 2015. An unforeseen conflict with her TV filming schedule for the Showtime series Penny Dreadful has made it impossible for Ms. LuPone to travel to the northwest in September. The Tony and Grammy-winning actress is one of several to join this gothic horror series for Season 2. LuPone’s role is still being kept under wraps, but she’s described as “a mysterious character of great importance in the life of Vanessa,” played by Eva Green.

Jill Barnes, Washington Center Executive Director stated that “Scheduling changes are rare, but also a reality. We worked diligently with her agent and the other presenters in the northwest that had booked Ms. LuPone to find a mutually agreeable date, but we were not able to find one. With over 20 local Artistic Partners, The Center is very busy September through June. We will keep our fingers crossed that we will have another opportunity in the future to bring Ms. LuPone to Olympia.”

Ticket holders are being contacted by Washington Center Box office staff. Patrons will have the option of receiving a gift certificate for future ticket purchases, a full refund, or make a tax deductible donation to The Center.

The Center commiserates with the disappointed patrons and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

Patrons are also welcome to contact the Box Office directly at 360-753-8586.
