Boys & Girls Clubs of Thurston County has hired Stella Chang as their new Resource Development Director.

Stella joins the team at Boys & Girls Clubs of Thurston County after 4 years as a Major Gifts Officer with The Evergreen State College. In addition to her experience with fundraising at the college, Chang started her career as Development Coordinator at North Memorial Hospital Foundation in Minnesota. She graduated from University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with Leadership Minor. During her time in college she traveled to Cape Town, South Africa where she spent time at a community center working with children. Stella and her husband relocated to Washington in 2011.
Chang says, “The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Thurston County is what drew me in because it feels parallel to the community center in South Africa”. She attributes her desire for making a difference in the world with the life-changing experiences she had in Cape Town.
