Jim Greene is the founder of Greene Realty Group. He is also active as a board member with Boys & Girls Clubs of Thurston County and served on the South Puget Sound Community College Foundation for 12 years.

Greene Realty Group was founded out of a desire to proficiently serve clients and community. The importance of home, family, residents and neighborhoods is deeply rooted within Greene Realty Group. Core values of the company include treating others the way in which you would want to be treated and to serve the community where you live and work.

Wherever Greene Realty Group does business, it is with considerable appreciation of the firm’s ongoing responsibility to give back to that community.

Jim Greene, founder and owner of Greene Realty Group shares, “I simply ask that all agents give back to the community in some way that they can make a difference in someone’s life. I feel blessed that the community gives back to us in real estate sales. We are fortunate by the amount of business that comes through our front door.”

Eric Hjelm, Certified Residential Specialist at Greene Realty Group explains,“We have established a fund at work that our agents contribute to called the Greene Giving Fund. At the end of the year we select a non-profit organization to give the money to.” Greene says Greene Realty Group is partnering with the Community Foundation of South Puget Sound who will be managing the monies raised through the Green Giving Fund.

While the Greene Giving Fund gets distributed at year-end, supporting the community happens every day. Hjelm particularly enjoys volunteering for the Salvation Army meals programs with his co-workers throughout the year. “I came to Greene Realty Group because my values were aligned with what I wanted to see in a company,” continues Hjelm. “Clients and family come first. I appreciate Greene Realty Group’s contributions to the community and how Jim Greene strives to instill community service as part of our role as agents and citizens. I now have two children in the real estate business and know exactly which company I want to mentor them when I retire – Greene Realty Group.”

Greene Realty Group agents have an ongoing presence in the community supporting local schools, serving in non-profit agencies, participating on city planning commissions and other community outreach. Giving back to the community is seamlessly woven into the company culture. Often agents and clients are attracted to Greene Realty Group because of service work performed in the community.

Jim Greene leads by example by rolling up his sleeves at many community events as well as serving on several community boards including the Boys & Girls Clubs of Thurston County. Greene previously served on the South Puget Sound Community College Foundation board for 12 years. Greene comments, “Education is so important to me and I feel it is the key to success. I want to be able to support our community’s opportunities to educate youth.”

Renee Brenner and Missy Watts of Greene Realty Group exemplify the community giving nature of Greene Realty Group agents. Brenner shares, “We are very active in the community. All of the agents in the firm are involved in various organizations. Brenner and Watts are active in the Providence St. Peter’s Foundation and Capital Land Trust.”

The culture of Greene Realty Group includes giving back to the community outside of the office.

Not all firms share the belief of giving back to the community to the extent that agents are encouraged to volunteer during work time and staff are supported to organize community-based programs and events. Watts has thoughtfully blended her community outreach with her real estate expertise in order to contribute to sustainable and thriving neighborhoods in our community as well as offer her professional expertise in real estate. “Personally, I see myself as an ambassador for our community and I feel like I can help people moving to our area to make good choices,” adds Watts. “I stay involved with the neighborhood where I live by serving as a board member of the Griffin Neighborhood Association. I am also a Planning Commissioner for the City of Olympia, so I have my finger on the pulse of local development and the direction Olympia is heading.”

Every relationship makes a difference to Greene Realty Group’s commitment to serving the community and goes beyond providing buyers and sellers the best in real estate services. Greene Realty Group’s commitment to giving back to the community is helping to create a thriving economy, strong schools and flourishing neighborhoods.
