Scookies are offered in three different flavor profiles: Marionberry-Orange, Blueberry-Lemon, and Raspberry-Almond.

Westport Winery’s bakery is well-known for its fresh, homemade pies, cakes, cookies, bars and giant cinnamon rolls. Now they are introducing Scookies to their list of over-the-top offerings.

Winery co-owner, Kim Roberts said, “We have always make scones in the summer season but we wanted to offer a breakfast-style pastry year around that had all the elements of our scones with the convenience of a cookie. I heard about a popular product in New York that is a hybrid of a donut and a croissant so I decided to experiment until I came up with a cookie/scone collaboration and the Scookie was born.”

Scookies are offered in three different flavor profiles: Marionberry-Orange, Blueberry-Lemon, and Raspberry-Almond. “The secret to making these special is that they are filled with fresh fruit. In the summer we even get to use our farm’s berries. Scookies are the same size as our vanilla bean lavender shortbread cookies so they’re a real meal.”

In terms of wine pairings Roberts suggests that the Blackberry-Orange Scookie be served with the winery’s Little Wild Blackberry Riesling. She said to enjoy Dawn Patrol, their blend of raspberry Riesling as the perfect complement to the Raspberry-Almond Scookie. And she recommends True Blue, the winery’s blueberry dessert wine to sip with the Blueberry-Lemon Scookie. “Of course, you can always be traditional and pair any of these with a mimosa made from one of our award-winning sparkling wines.”

Westport Winery and Vineyards By-the-Sea with its unique sculpture garden, lavender labyrinth, musical fence, 9-hole executive golf course, giant chess set, outdoor scrabble game, and grape maze, is located on the corner of Highway 105 and South Arbor Road halfway between Aberdeen and Westport. Westport Winery was named Best of the Northwest Wine Tour in 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2014.
