The bell has been officially rung and the 2014 Olympia Farmer’s Market season is underway.  Fans of the Market welcome the return of four-day-a-week markets for produce, plants, local artisan wares and of course, delicious lunch options.  The Market’s hours are Thursday through Sunday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.  Visitors mingled with vendors, saying hello and catching up with familiar faces and learning about new farmers and artisans in the market this season.

Spring plants abound for those looking to start their own gardens, both flower and edible, and spring greens and the last of winter’s root vegetables were welcomed.  Our corner of the Northwest offers such bounty and it is seen on full display at the market with baked goods, fresh seafood, seasonal produce, artisan jams and jellies, and local honey.

The Olympia Farmer’s Market will run it’s full season hours through October.  Visit the Market’s webpage for a line up of live music and special events held throughout the season.  Enjoy!
