The Westport Winery is located just one hour west towards the sea and is the westernmost winery in the state.

It’s that time of year at Westport Winery when the 2012 red wine vintage is getting ready to blend and bottle. If you’d like to taste it straight from the barrel this is your opportunity on Sunday, March 2 from noon to 4 p.m. Each taste will be paired with one of the winery’s extraordinary selections of Seattle Chocolates to give your palate the full swoon! Director of Winemaking, Dana Roberts, will be discussing each of the wines offered from the barrel including the nature of the varietal and the vineyard from which they were harvested.

Tiffany and John Maki will be performing in the winery’s Farm to Fork Restaurant and Bakery from noon to 4 p.m. In addition to barrel tasting under the solar panels, full wine tasting will be offered at both of the winery’s bars (but not in the restaurant).

Wine club members and their guests receive five tastes for free. Non-wine club members enjoy a full tasting from either the bottle or the barrel for $5.

Westport Winery and Vineyards By-the-Sea with its unique sculpture garden and grape maze is located on the corner of Highway 105 and South Arbor Road halfway between Aberdeen and Westport. These award-winning wines are exclusively available at this location. The winery and bakery are open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The restaurant is open for lunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and for dinner on Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. For more information contact Westport Winery at 360-648-2224.
