I will admit two things.  First, I am a devoted tea drinker.  While that fact alone may cause you to pause, given the title of this article, I appreciate the ritual of warming up with a steaming mug of caffeine.  I like my tea black and strong.  My husband may say even stronger than his coffee.  Sometimes I don’t ever pull the tea bag out of the hot water and just consume it while it continues to seep.  Does that qualify me as an expert on caffeine?

Second, who celebrates a holiday centered around coffee?  Devoted coffee connoisseurs, I suppose. Regardless, Olympia is home to outstanding local coffee roasters, premier coffee brewers and passionate baristas.  Therefore, it seems appropriate to give a shout out to these locally-owned businesses that keep Olympia residents awake and jazzed.
