Puget Sound EnergyGet your fingers stained blue or red with the many opportunities to pick raspberries and blueberries in the South Sound.  While strawberry season is coming to an end, there are plenty of local farms where you can pick raspberries, blueberries, apples and pumpkins.

Pigman’s Produce (10633 Steilacoom Road SE, Olympia) is certified organic and they offer U-Pick raspberries and pumpkins in the fall. Phone: 360-491-3276.

Blueberries

Carr’s Blueberry Farms (3844 – 1/2 Gull Harbor Road NE, Olympia) on Gull Harbor Road are organic certified and optimal for picnicking.  Phone: 360-352-3622.

The Black Lake Blueberry Farm (3105 – 54th Ave SW, Olympia) uses no pesticides on their crops.  Phone: 360-480-2452.

Dan and Crown Blueberry Lane (3102 Friendly Grove Road NE, Olympia) offers organic blueberries.  Phone: 360-357-3837.

Gile Blueberry Farm  (3641 Gull Harbor Road NE, Olympia) is also a great place to pick blueberries.  Phone 360-352-4847.

Apples

Pumpkins

Lattin’s Country Cider Mill (9402 Rich Road SE, Olympia) is a good visit any day of the week with the petting zoo and farm activities, but also for the U-Pick pumpkins in the fall. Phone: 360-491-7328.

Go out and get your fingers dirty and try a fresh picked berry right off the bush. Eat them fresh, can them, make syrup and dehydrate. Olympia is your bounty for berry picking.
