Doug Walker, owner of Walker Photography, was recognized last Monday night by the Professional Photographers of Washington during its annual conference banquet held April 8th in Bellevue, Washington. Walker, a commercial photographer since 1994 was awarded the coveted ‘Commercial Photographer of the Year‘ title for 2013, (his sixth time since 1994), for the highest combined score of prints entered in the event. He also won the Best Editorial Image award and the Best Unclassified Portrait award.
Doug Walker is a internationally recognized commercial photographer. He was born and raised in Olympia, Washington, the home of Olympia Beer and “It’s the Water”. Doug is a graduate of Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara 1993 and is known for his clean, bold classic style of imagery for editorial, architectural, and corporate clients both regionally and nationally. Last year, he was awarded an International – Bronze Level Photographer of the Year award at the 2012 International Photographic Competition.
