LACEY, WA, April 5, 2013: Lacey residents are invited to participate in a national water conservation challenge by taking a pledge online. The City of Lacey will be competing against other cities across the nation in the National Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation through April 30.
“I am confident that by working together, we can help reduce the city’s consumption of water, energy and waste,” said Mayor Virgil Clarkson. “By participating in programs such as this along with current energy initiatives, we are helping to preserve the beauty of Lacey now, and for the future.”

In addition to taking steps to decrease water use, energy consumption, and pollution in your home and the community, participants from the winning cities will be eligible to win prizes, including the grand prize—a Toyota Prius Hybrid. Other prizes include custom-designed sprinkler systems, Eco-Flow Showerheads and Lowe’s gift cards.
