LAKE LOIS HABITAT RESERVE RESTORATION VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

LACEY, WA, April 4, 2013:

Lacey-area residents are invited to join volunteers and staff from the City of Lacey Parks and Recreation Department at the Lake Lois Habitat Reserve to plant native shrubs and remove invasive plants on Saturday, April 13, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The Lake Lois Habitat Reserve is located north of Pacific Avenue SE, and west of Lake Lois Road SE.
Parking is available at Woodland Creek Community Park, 6729 Pacific Avenue SE. Use the crosswalk to walk across Pacific Avenue SE at the Lake Lois Road SE intersection.

Individuals, families, and groups are welcome to join. Volunteers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Groups are encouraged to pre-register to be sure there are tools for everyone.
All volunteers should bring a water bottle and wear weather-appropriate outdoor clothing, work gloves, sturdy shoes or boots, and rain gear, if necessary. It is also encouraged that volunteers bring a shovel, if owned.
