In an effort to raise awareness for childhood cancer while helping two local charities, Luxe for Style Salon, Lonestar Salon and AntitodeSpa and Salon hosted the second annual Cut-A-Thon on Saturday, Sept. 15 at several locations throughout Thurston County.

Proceeds for the event went towards two local charitable causes, Rhema’s Reality and Friends of Mia.

“It’s for a great cause, and we are proud to host such an event that brings the community together,” said Megan Healy. “It’s very special to be a part of.”

The money generated from each $15 hair-cut and $35 cut/shampoo and style went towards both of the charities.
