TCYFL Season Kicks Off With Jamboree + Thurston County Youth Football Cheerleading Program Continues To Grow

The Thurston County Youth Football League kicked off their season last weekend.  The league has grown considerably in the past ten years, due to the great support and involvement of parents and volunteers.  These two articles – one focused on football and the other on cheer – are a great example of how Thurston County residents are creating fun, positive sporting experiences for our youth.

Heidi Perry Pushes Past Mile Markers In Ultramarathon Events

I’m impressed with the amazing athletic abilities of Heidi Perry.  The North Thurston High School science teacher recently completed a 135-mile race in Death Valley, what she considers to be her greatest athletic accomplishment.  And, this was not the first ultramarathon for the cross country coach.  Read more – I guarantee you will be inspired!
