Lacey, WA – The Olympia Master Builders (OMB) BIG Home and Garden Show, will take place Saturday September 15 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sunday, September 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Saint Martin’s University Marcus Pavilion in Lacey. Admission is $5.00 for adults, and kids under 12 get in free. The show features over 100 vendors and will fill the Marcus Pavilion, the Worthington Center, and the front parking lot as well. Exhibitors will present the “latest and greatest” products and services in home remodeling, construction, landscaping, and décor. Come to the show and turn your “Honey-Do into a “Honey-Done”!
Local experts will be on hand to talk about a variety of home and garden topics, to include: “How to Select a Contractor”, “Hanging Baskets for the Holidays”, “Solar in the Northwest”, “Energy Efficient Programs for your Home”, and “Pest Proofing your Home”. For the kids, KGY Radio has partnered with Jumping Jacks to have a bounce house on site.
For the first time, OMB has partnered with Concern for Animals (CFA) to bring Bark-A-Tecture and Catscapes to the 2012 OMB BIG Home and Garden Show! All structures have been thoughtfully crafted by OMB members and CFA volunteers. At the show, the public will be able to use their dollars to vote for their favorite dog house or catscape, with proceeds going to CFA.
From now until the show opens, our friends at Westfield Capital have offered space to preview two of the Bark-A-Tecture and Catscape entries prior to the show! The display is in front of the Old Navy store until the Home Show starts on September 15. Stop by to preview the houses, and pick up a $2 off coupon for the show!
At the conclusion of the Home Show, the houses will be back at the mall for further viewing, until they are sold to the highest bidder at the Concern for Animals’ Toast for Tails auction on November 10.
Several discounts on admissions are being offered. Coupons for a $2.00 admission discount are widely available online at omb.org, at vendor showrooms and the Olympia Master Builders office on State Avenue in Olympia. Early bird admission price: everyone who arrives at the show between 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday will receive half-off admission. Senior Day is Sunday, and Seniors will get in for half-off the regular admission price all day. OMB is proud to support our local military personnel, and will offer a Military Discount of half-off regular admission price throughout the entire event. Don’t forget – kids under 12 will be admitted free!
