Tumwater Community Day – September 8th

The City of Tumwater will host Tumwater Community Day on Saturday, September 8, 2012, with free activities and events for all ages at the Tumwater City Hall and Headquarters Fire Station from 10:00am to 1:00pm.

Event Parking located in the adjacent Attorney General’s Office parking lot (7141 Cleanwater Drive SW).  No parking available at City Hall or the Fire Department due to scheduled activities. Disabled parking available in the Tumwater Library parking lot and the City Hall Public Works lot (both accessed via New Market Street.)

An opening ceremony featuring Fire and Police Department Honor Guards will begin at 10:15am.  Event also includes Coffee with Mayor Kmet
(10:30 – 11:30am); Touch-A-Truck: exploring fire, police, utility and military vehicles; car seat safety checks, low-cost kids’ bicycle
helmets (while supplies last!), and emergency preparedness information; a bounce house for the kids; updates on current City projects; a library
booth with free apples and bookmarks; food, games, and more.  Bring your personal documents (up to 3 grocery-sized bags) to shred in the on-site
shredder truck!
