LACEY, WA, August 2, 2012: Bring the whole family to the Lacey Community Market for Heritage Day on Saturday, August 11, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Huntamer Park.

Celebrate our community’s diverse cultures and traditions and shop a unique outdoor market, hosted by the City of Lacey.

The Lacey Community Market offers a bounty of traditional market items including fresh-cut flowers, breads, locally-made and harvested foods, honey, and an abundance of seasonal produce. You will also find crafts, hand-made jewelry, antiques, collectibles, forgotten treasures, local cuisine, community resources, and endless family entertainment.

Visitors to the market can enjoy free concerts and dance exhibitions throughout the day. Don’t miss lively Caribbean music by Mukana Marimba, beginning at 10:30 a.m., followed by Hawaiian music and dancing by Hui O’ Hawai’i at 12:30 p.m. Los Flacos will fill the park with lively Latin music from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., followed by a Break dancing competition. Plus, face painting, tumble bus, and outdoor games for children, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
