Here are some upcoming day camps, offered by Tumwater Parks & Rec.
Let’s Build II (ages 7 – 9)
Build computer powered simple robots, program motion and sound with drag and drop software while learning about engineering and math concepts. Students will set goals each day, log contributions, successes, and difficulties.
o Session I: Monday, July 30 – Thursday, August 2
o Session II: Monday, August 13 – Thursday, August 16
o Session III: Monday, August 20 – Thursday, August 23

Let’s Build III (Ages 8 – 14)
Come use mechanical engineering concepts integrated with software on laptop computers to construct and develop various engineering projects. Learn the beginnings of some engineering and mechanical aspects of gears, levers, power units, or pulleys to build and troubleshoot projects.
o Session I: Monday, July 16 – Thursday, July 19
o Session II: Monday, August 6 – Thursday, August 9
o Session III: Monday, August 20 – Thursday, August 23
$130 per student/per session

Let’s Terraform (Ages 11 – 16)
Build and program robots to complete the tasks of building life on other planets while learning about engineering, planning, software, hardware, math, science of other moons, journaling, teamwork, setting goals each day, logging contributions, successes and difficulties, challenging teams at the end of each mission.
o Session II: Monday, July 23 – Thursday, July 26
$160 per student/per session
