Olympia Tumwater Foundation Announces $108,000 In Education Awards For 2012

The Olympia Tumwater Foundation (OTF) announces the award of $82,000 in scholarships to 20 local high school seniors.  Over its 45-year history, the OTF’s education program has awarded more than $1.2 million in scholarships to over 500 local students.

In addition to traditional scholarships, the Foundation awarded $15,000 in transitional scholarship through South Puget Sound Community College, Saint Martin’s University and The Evergreen State College.  It also assisted early learning programs in area schools with over $11,000 in grants.

Dick Seaman, M.D., Foundation scholarship chairman, said “we are pleased to positively impact these outstanding students and help them pursue their educational goals.”
