“I believe that together, with the city’s current initiatives and new engaging outreach programs like this Water Wise Challenge, we can make a substantial reduction over the next year in our consumption of water, energy, and waste,” declared Lacey Mayor Virgil Clarkson.

Participants from winning cities will be eligible for incredible prizes—including the grand prize, a Toyota Prius Hybrid. Other prizes include custom designed sprinkler systems, high efficiency toilets, Eco-Flow showerheads and Lowe’s gift cards. Over 1,200 prizes will be distributed to residents of the winning cities.

The National Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation is sponsored by the Wyland Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting, protecting, and preserving water resources. This program supports the 40th anniversary of the Clean Water Act.
