Easter snuck up on me, perhaps due to the odd, non-spring-like weather or the holiday falling during Spring Break. Regardless, I flipped the calendar, saw the note and will now hasten my holiday planning. I’ve saved you one step by summarizing popular Easter Egg Hunts throughout Thurston County. My hope is that this list will help you feel a little less scrambled over the weekend, giving you more time to nibble on Easter candy.

Easter Egg Trek

If bad weather is in the forecast and your galoshes are a size too small, take the kids to the Westfield Mall for the Easter Egg Trek. Geared for families with children ages 9 and under, this free event is sponsored by the Church of Living Water. Event includes face painting, candy eggs, crafts, and a raffle.
O Bee Credit Union Egg Dash
Bucknell Field on Marvin Road, Lacey

Mixx 96.1 and O Bee Credit Union join forces to produce a free Egg Dash. Bring a basket to collect prizes and candy-filled eggs. Split into four age groups, kids will scurry about to collect eggs. The event, geared for children ages 2 – 10, includes a grand prize bike and helmet in all four age groups.

A bonanza of over 20,000 colorful eggs are scattered throughout the grassy area at Tumwater High School. Eggs are filled with candy, toys, and prize coupons. Hunt begins at 11:00 am for the youngest kids.

Lattin’s Country Cider Mill, Olympia

Hunt around the farm at Lattin’s annual Easter Egg Hunt. Since parking is limited, arrive early and visit all the farm babies – bunnies, chicks, lambs, goats, calves, and ducklings.

Olympia Lodge #1 – 11th Annual Easter Egg Hunt

A prize can be found in every egg at this hunt. Three age groups depart to hunt for eggs. Hungry? The event includes coffee, hot chocolate, and snacks. Bring $5 for a photo with the Easter Bunny. All proceeds will benefit The Washington Center for the Performing Arts.
