On Friday, March 9, South Puget Sound Community College hosts the Stop Modern-Day Slavery forum, a survivor-led event designed to educate about and empower people to combat human trafficking.
The forum, hosted by the South Puget Sound Community College Student Senate and the Tronie Foundation, will feature a variety of survivors, including ASB President Khurshida Begum, sharing their experiences to educate others. They will also present information of what people can do to help stop this practice. The forum plans to emphasize the issue’s wide range, from local to global.
The forum takes place March 9 at 5:30 p.m. in the Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts main stage. The forum is free and open to the public.
