Saturday I visited the Olympia Port Plaza to see the display presented by the Tacoma Glass Blowing Studio, over 2,000 hand blown glass pumpkins! As you can see by the photos it was a fanciful and colorful scene including a variety of sizes, shapes, and colors of pumpkins.
Co-owner Jeannie Sigafoos is in charge of the color combinations. She and her husband Mark have been in business for 5 years. They have a number of employees who assist them with the glass blowing process. Sigafoos mentioned that many of their current employees came to them having received training in a high school glass blowing program.
The Glass Blowing Studio is located in downtown Tacoma, 4 blocks from the Museum of Glass. The Studio is owned by Mark and Jeannie Sigafoos and offers a Glass Gallery, Group Events, and Classes that are open to Ages 8 years and older. www.tacomaglassblowing.com, <info@tacomaglassblowing.com>,
